Now that the health issues are under control it’s time to get back to business. The business of writing and editing and publishing. RWA published the info about the NYC conference this summer and I’m drooling at the prospect. Nalini Singh, one of my all time favorite authors, will be speaking. I absolutely adore her Guild Hunter’s series. I’m not as fond of the Psy-Changeling series but still read them. Elena captured me from the first page and reminds of the character Anita Blake, another all-time favorite of mine. Strong. Confident. Still vulnerable without being weak. Cracked, but not shattered.

Being in the DC area makes the conference especially tempting. It’s just a short train ride away. The conference is a bit wild – 2000 women, 3 bathrooms. But the networking is phenomenal and, even more importantly, just being with other people who get it. They get the voices in your head. The scribbled notes on napkins or the back of your hand. They don’t stare incoherently when you start spouting off about GMC or POV or how your hero isn’t flawed enough.

So who will be going to NYC for National this year? And what do you hope to get out of it?
